I have recently discovered ich on several of my fish in my main tank. However the only tank I have available for quarantine is a 10G so with that being said I'm going to have to keep a lot of fish in my main. However I fear that they will get ich in the process and I believe the risk in turning that tank's temp up to 85 and using salt treatment is much to high considering the amount of time and money put into several of my fish. I would like to know if there is any alternate treatment for my main tank. At the moment there are no more fish with ick in the tank.

If there was fish with ich in the tank then there is ich in the tank unless you have treated or let the tank go fallow (no host for the ich) for at least 14 days.
What size is the main tank in question? Why do you think that salt and temp is to risky? Is there some special stock in the tank that cant handle this line of treatment?

If several fish in main tank...then treat main tank. It'll spread.

Heat and salt should work. Unless fish are a prob. Agree with BIG-G BIG-G .

Not necessarily special stock or anything it's just that a lot of the fish in there aren't considered "hardy fish", and it's easily over 100 dollars in fish. Would rather not risk it however if it is necessary I will do so. As of right now there are no known hosts of ich in the tank, however I don't know because I have several loaches, a eel, and a catfish that I hardly ever see out. The tank is 55G.

Trust me if there was a fish with ich in the tank you will probably see the infection start up again due to the parasites life cycle there will be a period where it looks as though it's over only to show in a few days once the fish are reinfected.
I have use the salt and temp treatment on clown loaches and plecos and corydoras cats before without any problems. What species of catfish and eel do you have?

Peacock eel and Raphael catfish along with a corydora. Only problem is I never see the peacock eel or Raphael cat so I have no clue whether or not they have ich. I am about to start salt and temp treatment as of right now.

Assume all your fish have ich. Imagine you and 10 of your friends are in a sealed room with 100 mosquitoes. How many do you do you think will not get bit?

Use salt (1 tbl per gallon, added slowly of a number of hours) and heat (86F) for at least 2 weeks. Add extra aeration if any of the fish look very stressed (rapid gil movements, staying at the top of the tank.)

So I have some fish in my tank that enjoy crickets as their meal (rainbowfish and butterflyfish) should I continue feeding crickets or avoid doing while ich is still active in my tank?

Feed same foods as long as they are still eating you shouldn't have to change your feeding habits
