All right my 55 gallon tank has it and I bought the Seachem ParaGard and I’m wondering it says on the bottle that to remove all chemical filtration? How do I do that? I have a standard hang on back filter

Does the filter have a carbon element in it?
Or possibly that white stuff like carbon that removes ammonia can't think of its name atm.

Remove any carbon if in the filter or tank.
Agree remove carbon, and....if there is a fractionation unit/protein skimmer, it should turned off.
One other caution, if you do have carbon, or carbon pads, they should be tossed when removed, it is possible they could hold unhatched ick cysts, and if returned to the system, could reinfect (even if dry).
If using salt as treatment, these filtration methods need not be removed.
