one of my buenos aires tetras had 3 dots on his lower tail and others had one dot each. the dots werent the tiny, tiny dots that google shows, they are more like a tad bigger than grain of sugar, not the powdered sugar that i see on google pics. anyway, i cranked it up to 86, treated with paraguard for 2 weeks, and nothing changed. how can i fix this? do they even have ich? thanks

Has it spread over the 2 weeks? Can u post pics? May not be ich and could be lymphocystis or broken finlets.

the ich has not over the 2, sry can post, my camera doesnt work?
If the spots haven’t increased in numbers then likely not ich. Try and borrow a camera in the meantime. If the fish are acting normal then would watch and keep the water pristine.

IMG_20200411_220932.jpgIMG_20200411_220927.jpgthat is the tank, the tetras are too fast to get a good pic, i ended up using the cam on my computer so its kinda fuzzy but i also noticed ont of the larger tetras also have 2 or 3 white spots on the tail.

If it hasn’t spread or gone away with Paraguard in two weeks then it’s almost impossible that it’s Ich. It’s likely lymphocystis or broken fin rays like Kno4te states....especially since you mentioned it’s on the fins. Neither of which are a big deal. Lymphocystis is like herpes so you can’t really treat it and broken fin rays are like scars...
