So I guessing it is ich. I am raising temps, and adding salt. Verification would be appreciated. (Fish is ~4 inches.)

Glad to hear the affirmative. (I would hate for it to be something worse...)

Temps are slowly climbing. I think I am at about 80 now. (Like I said hoping for ~85)

Could be ich but my first impression was something fungal. Seems odd to me that the tomites are all large and spaced far apart over the fishes body like that. I guess you'll find out for sure when you raise the temp. If it's ich, you'll see more of it by tomorrow.

If it isn't ich... I don't know. Fungus grow fairly slow right? And wouldn't it continue to grow bigger, ie not just keep on being spots? If I don't see any good signs after this treatment, I will start them on fungal meds, but since I am already upping temps, and the salt is already in.

Kind of difficult to diagnose looking at the pic on my monitor. Generally speaking, fungus is usually fuzzy looking to some extent and ich is more defined, or not 'fuzzy looking'. Fungus does not like salt any more than ich does and by already adding some that's a good first step imo. If it starts spreading like wildfire in 80+ degree water over the next few days, it's ich. Water changes via gravel vacuuming can be beneficial by reducing the number of "ich nymphs" that are regrouping there to start their evil life cycle over again.

So I am guessing it isn't ich... It seems to have in essence disappeared overnight... (Temps are about 85 now). Seeing as they have drastically improved, I figure whatever I am doing isn't hurting them so I will keep it up.

Good to hear. Haps are tough as nails!
