so i had ich in my tank (don't buy fish from petsmart), i am new to this hobby and this is the first time that i have ever had to treat for ich. I have been treating for 3 days now with quickcure. It says that that should be enough, but i am not sure how to tell when the ich is gone, as some of my fish still have the white spots on them. How do i tell when its good to stop treating for ich?

Thanks

Do the treatment course for two weeks just to be on the safe side. What fish do you have? Simply increase the temperature and use salt as a means of ich treatment.

If you haven't obtain a quarantine tank, do it now. You need it and you should quarantine every new fish you buy for at least 4 weeks. Failure to do so puts your current stocks to the risk of contracting diseases.

To warn people not to buy from certain stores is an overstatement. Some pet stores may not operate similarly. Ich can happen hence you see the reason why you need quarantine tanks in hand.

I recommend at least 10 days with any treatment regime, ich can reccur if you don't allow all the trophonts thatch before suspending treatment.
