I was at my GF`s parents house and was looking in their tank... and well they had ick.
So i gave him some meds and he started threating it. After doing the meds as written on the label all was looking good again... execpt the clown loaches. The still have a lot of spots on them... none of the other fish do.
I`m now in the process of trying catch the loaches and QT them in a diffrent tank. ( Big planted tank, so trying the " bottle Fish trap" as i cant net them :()
My question is, are loaches just very hard to get rid of ick, or is it something else ?

They are just very sensitive to meds. The best way to treat them for ich is to raise the temperature and add aquarium salt. Some people don't like this method, but it has always worked for me.

right, was planning on doing the salt+temp thing when i cought them :)

How well do plants do with the above threatment ? ?

Luckily clown loaches tolerate the heat and salt levels needed for treatment quite well. Unfortunately clown loaches are very prone to ich.
