HI, my parents have a 40g long tank in their living room and i got for them as a present and they called me up and some of their fish had died. I went over their to find they had ick or white spot. their heated broke and it had a hot spot, its hard to explain but i did a 25% water change and put ick meds in the new water before i added it but i put enough to treat 40g. 3 days later i did the same thing. that was 2 days ago. i also went out got them new fish and i have them in a 20g tank now. when do you think it would be safe to but the new fish in, and is their something i can do to make sure the ich is all gone? Thanks for any help you can give me and my parents. they loved their tank.
