Please help me. I am pretty confused right now.

I have a tank with mollies and a catfish. My one molly has ick, and I have begun to raise the temperature in the tank. I can add salt or medication, but I have a cory catfish in there. I just did a 50% change of water and added stress coat. I also added an air stone to give more oxygen.

I have read some of the other threads on this, but I am confused. Do I add 1 tablespoon salt for 5 gallons with a catfish in there?
Is it safe to use aquarisol or quick cure on the catfish?

If I add salt, how often do I do this? I know to add it when I change water, which I do at 1 tablespoon per 10 gallons because of the cory. Do I have to add additional salt each day? How often do I change water?

It is a 10 gallon with 2 mollies, a danio and a cory catfish. The other readings on ammonia and stuff are fine. The ammonia might be just a hair above 0.

Also, my lfs told me to get a bottle of Gel-Tek Ultra Gro VX and feed them that in place of one of their feedings each day. He said this will help boost their immune system and give them vitamins they need.

I have had tanks before, and never ran into this problem. But, it has been 20 years now. I want to make sure I am doing the right thing.

Do heavy water changes and gravel vacs daily to keep the number of free-swimming protozoan in the water low.

Keep your temperature up. Over 86deg is essential. And it needs to be left there, for 2wks after the last sight of it on your fish. This speeds up the life cycle of the organism and makes it more difficult to reinfect your fish.

Mollies and corys are not generally a good choice to share tanks, mollies do best with some salt at a maintainance level of 1 tbsp/5 gallons and can be adapted to heavier levels all the way to full SW, they also prefer slightly alkaline water. Corys prefer somewhat acid to neutral water, and are not generally very salt tolerant though I have had success with the treatment level of 2 tsp/1 gallon x 10 days at 85F. I have not used either med you mentioned with corys but they are not as sensitive to ich meds as many catfish are.
You may consider the straight heat treatment of raising the tank temp to 91F for ten days but I don't know how tolerant your cory will be for this level, species vary.
When treating with salt dissolve it in water then add to tank, making sure to stir it a bit to spread it evenly through the tank. Add only once and replace only the ammount you remove in your water changes.

Gravel vacs and frequent water changes are also very helpful during treatment as was stated by Evercl92

Would it be better to isolate the cory in a 2 gallon tank? I would have to have him by himself, but then I could still use medication on him. Although, the 2 gallon wouldn't have a heater that is adjustable so the temperature would have to stay around 76 degrees. I did have a pleco, but he passed yesterday. I am not sure if this was because of the ick or not. There didn't seem to be any signs of disease or anything. He was fine around 11 a.m., and then around noon, he suddenly started doing poorly.

I know the mollies have ick, but I am watching as it seems there is a bit of fungus as well. I am not sure yet until I can get a really good look at them.

I lost my male molly to ick. I have been doing everything I can, but he just didn't make it. He was beautiful too. He had a stripe of gold on the top fin and was so pretty. :( I have the temp raising, but it only raises about 2 degrees a day even though it is a good heater. It is now at 84 degrees and I hope it gets up there tomorrow. With 15 babies who came along today, I am really concerned.

Quick Cure helped me.
