Well, as I feared, it appears my 5" Tig contracted Ick from the stupid Red Hooks I bought with him. Today is the first day of any signs and he is eating good. I went to every single lfs in an hour radius, and the best I could do was Jungle Ick Guard II. What are my chances of this stuff working? How soon should I see results before switching to something stronger with malachite and copper but half dose it? The Ick Guard II says it's for small sensitive catfish so I will start with that I guess? I bumped the temp up to 82, I'll bump it to 84 after 24 hours. The directions says dose the tank and reapeatr after 24 hours, don't I need to treat the tank for like 10 days??? I can do 25% water changes daily, but when I redose after 24 hours, is it a full strentgh redose?? Please offer suggestions. if I lose this Tig I'm smashing the 180 with a sledge hammer and quitting!!!!!!!
