Hello, I noticed some fish scratchig in my big 150. Fish such as tinfoil barb, tt eel, etc.. I was wondering If I could add some ick medicine to the tank. The brand of ick medicine is called QuICK Cure. Do you think it would be ok to put it in my tank with my ornate bichir, tire track eel, and S.A Lungfish??
Thanks,
-Alex
Happy Thanksgiving.....

No. Until you are sure you are actually dealing with ich, leave the fish alone for now. Stick to table salt if you have to treat. A 0.2% solution salt will work. Dissolve salt first thoroughly before adding and dose by a teaspoon per gallon (0.1% solution). If everything goes well, add another 0.1% solution to reach 0.2% in the next 12 hours. Your fish should be able to tolerate the saline level well at this point. Either 0.1% or 0.2% solution should be safe but don't exceed beyond 0.2% anymore.

As I said, watch first for further signs but do not treat yet.

Thanks Lupin, how do i dissolve salt?

I put some of the aquarium water into a bowl and then add and stir the salt. I use Aquarium salt, and it never seems to dissolve fully in the bowl. So I pour the undissolved and dissolved salt into the the tank. Just make sure the salt doesn't land on any fish. My fish have never experienced any problems from me putting undissolved salt in the tank.

Thanks Angler will do, Austin you want to talk stalking to me. It seems your the stalker you post in my all threads. And all your posts are off topic..
Sorry for being off topic guys.
