my 75 gallon sev tank for some reason got ick out of no where. Water is fine. Do water changes every week. No new fish added or anything temp 72 degrees. Treating with quick cure now hope all goes well. Any ideas why it would just flare up?

might want to raise your temp to 76 or so, since ich is present i'd get those temps up to 80 during treatment, just started keeping cichlids again, but i always used to have ich problems with my south americans when my temps were below 76 degrees regardless of perfect water conditions imo... of course there are plenty of other variables to consider, just an idea though since you stated your temp was 72
