Ick!

Sorry to sound like a noob and i m sure this has been posted before but my Oscar got Ick, I thought it was bubbles for the past 2 days (stupid huh) and i looked closer and saw that it was Ick. I'v only treated Ick once bfore and i killed the fish with an overdose. I put a treatment in the tank, took the carbon out of the filter and am waiting. Help!

P.S. I underdosed (if thats a word) to be safe.

Been there with my oscar before. if its a baby oscar only do half the treatment otherwise it will/may stress it out. When mine had it i slowly turned the heat up to 85 and put aquarium salt in. Just make sure to have a good amount of surface agitation and patience and it'll be gone in no time.

crank up the temp and add salt and you'll be fine - like 5-8 degrees. no meds needed.

I did read the sticky so i raised the temp but will salt harm other fish?. Thanks everyone i think its clearing.
