Hi guys, I just checked out my tank today and noticed my fish flashing. I observed their bodies closely and did not find any white spots on them. I did, however, notice a lot of tiny white specks attached to the inside glass of my fish tank. The current from my HOB filter made it seem like they were moving around, but they did not detach from the glass. My question is, can ick attach to my fish tank glass? I also noticed some tiny white, what appears to be worms, about 2 mm in length, also attached to my fish tank glass. I dosed my aquarium with aquarium salt and increased my temp a little bit. I also added melafix. Some of my fish had their eyes popping out too. Should I be worried? Should I get some ick meds? idk what to do. My silver arow had a few missing scales and some torn fins, so I took him out and placed him in a QT with salt and melafix. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks In advance.

You do not see ich anywhere else with the naked eyes except if stuck under the epidermis of the fish. Fish can scratch occasionally but if the frequency is increased, then it is something to look out for. Don't treat with anything especially salt. Just observe until you know the possible cause.

As for the worms, they're planaria. Increase tank maintenance frequency and cut back on food rations. What are your water parameters? Test with API liquid test kit. Popeyes are sign that your water quality may be deteriorating. Finrot and popeyes can eb rectified by doing daily water changes.

Thank you. I have been doing 25% wc every 2 to 3 days. I wonder why my water parameters are bad. Ill go pick up a water test kit today. I've never checked them ever since I started my tank (about 2 months). Maybe my beneficial bacteria hasn't built up yet.
