Somewhere
I just bought a tsn and brought it home to find out that it has a slight case of Ick, maybe 10 dots. What should I do? I have heard of salt and it is in a quarantine tank that has salt in it anyway, but I have heard you add salt every 12 hours.

TSN's are very sensitive to salt .... if its got ICK I'd be taking it back and complaining.

The store is about an hour drive away. Plus it is one of those no return stores. I still want the fish. I just want to heal it before it gets too bad.

Try ICK medication at half strength ... raise the tep to 30c and add additional aeration.

I had a case of ick with my tank... my redtail was pretty strong against it... we just used some ich treatment and added a little bit of salt and raised the temp... it took a little while but everyone is back to normal....

Don't keep adding salt unless you're doing water changes, you'll just keep increasing salinity untill it becomes too much for the fish. If it's in a quarantine tank I'd go for the ick medication and the raised temp.

Does anyone know if Mardel Coppersafe is good?
