ick?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ich usually only strikes the stressed and weak....If your Dats are strong they should be OK.....Raise your temps and add a good dose of salt. Make sure all your water parameters are solid!

I recently had a little ich situation because I was a bit too quick to put some new loaches in my tank and Chefken said it, temp up, salt, and good water=no worries.

ick isnt too bad in freshwater, for marine tanks its another issue altogether. just do the salt, etc. and you will be fine

where can i get this salt? does it have to be from the LFS? whats weird is i did a 50% water change and thats when my loach caught ick.. how lame is that? haha

im actually about to pick up more loaches.. what do u do with them before u put it in ur main tank?

Put them in a hospital/quarantine tank until I'm sure they're good, but as I stated above I was a bit too excited and it cost me. :duh:

Any LFS or Petsmart/Petco. I stick with the LFS personally.
