Well it looks like a couple of fishes in my tank have ick. It could be that the latest fish I bought had it because I did not have this problem before and they are definitely not stressing.

I'm feeding them some frozen bloodworms. could they get ick from that ?

I Already did a early water change, cranked the heater up to 86 and I added a teaspoon of salt per gallon like the sticky about ick says.

What else can be done ?

wait... just a few days and it should be gone. it kinda looks like its sheding if its working.

other than that sounds like you did everything correct. makesure there is proper water movement and aeration since warmer water=less O2

How often should I add salt? Every 12 hours? That what I understood from that sticky link.

I use salt to help the stress levels of the fish. The temperature alone should eliminate the ich. I'm currently battling a bad case of ich in my tank with 'sensitive' fish.,(Brown knife, Black Ghost Knife, Royal Pleco........) I did add a tablespoon of API aqarium salt per 5 gallons(I'm pretty sure, I just did what the instructions said for a normal dose), however I believe that keeping the temp high (88-90) is the real trick.
I used meds before, but I've always had mixed results and usually some fish died.
Just remember that when your temp is up and fish already have stressed respiration from ich, keep the aeration up.

p.s. I don't know myself for a fact, but I've heard that micron filters can actually filter out free swimming ich. From what I understand the smallest stage of ich is about 30 microns, the filter on my aquaclear power head can filter down to one micron.....
Don't know for sure, but the tank that has the power head filter has never had ich, my other tank has....
I think I'm going to put a filter on that powerhead as well;)

Yea I got the temp at about 84F can't get it to get higher...and added the salt also. got a bubbler in there because I don't got much aeration from the filters. The fishes look really good not stressed at all. They even look better than when the salt was not there (minus the ick) I'm just waiting it out for now.
