Is it normal RTC?

It’s been digging with it’s tail?

Any ideas about household items to be used to make a cave? Trying to cheap up his new temp home without spending $200 on wood...

You still did after people advise you it’s a horrible idea! Haha

I’m sorry what is that in reference to?

This must be the #trolling mentioned in other post....

I dont think hes trolling ya...the stand is pretty scary to look at i agree. No need to provide a "hide" but u could use some 6" pvc if u feel he needs some cover. Mine is 24"+ and clears the gravel out to bare bottom as she wishes in almost a 3' radius of a corner...natural behavior IMO...just the fish staking their claims/making an area for themselves. Deco does not work for large fish imo either... they just end up thrashing themselves on it.

You should really read your own thread, the one you made about if it’s a good idea! I’ll be waiting for your next thread

Great! Helpful info! Thanks, he was referencing a different post? Ahh,

1/4 of the weight on 12” of 2 - 2x10 ‘

I’m not sure the physics of it all but, 1/4 or 600#s, or 150#’s gonna roll the dice I think...

That is actually a very nice cave, I'm getting in a shipment of that exact same fake plant within 30 days so I may do something like that. Thanks for posting.

Cute cave but the edges of the egg crate are sharp, unless you filed them down.

The wood bends under stress and even without stress, on its own. All four corners of a tank must be supported with vertical posts. This is a well known principle, which you are breaking. You may get away short term but you are asking for trouble.
