Think it would do ok with bichirs? I kind like the look of this guy
I’m actually not sure about the species lol one of the pimelodus species. I don’t see why any of those catfish wouldn’t get along given theyre in the right size range, I just don’t know when they stop growing. It seems they either stop at 6 inches or go to 6 ft. If that’s an albicans it’s 23 inches but who knows. That mouth looks pretty small so good shot? ?

Lol gotcha, I would love a pim with the polys. I like 4 lines but heart they can be a little psycho but this one looks pretty cool, but 23” inches would be a little big unless they’re one of those fish that grow super slow

The medium sized (9-15 inch) catfish market is rough! You pretty much got a bolt catfish that you won’t be able to find and if you do it’ll be $2-300. Next bigger is a Vulture, Lince (If you have a 1k for a catfish)and Tigrinus? And after that 90% of people can’t house any of the others.

I’m seeing that, I found lots of Synodontis in the 8-12” range, I like synos but I already have a few. I found a 4 line and a vulture. But that’s about it. I think you’re right on the ID of this guy, I saw a guy on YouTube catch one that looks like this and it’s a little on the big side, probably 18”.

Thanks for the info guys, it occurred to me that the 4 line wouldn’t be the best choice for my bichir tank, but I think it would be perfect to go with the frempongi, so that’s what I went with
