This. I would say red devil due to the elongated mouth, but unless you got him from a reputable breeder its probably a hybrid between the two. Many of the red devils/midas in the fish trade are hybrids to some degree. Never the less he is a nice looking fish.

Oh and in order to determine the sex we would need a photo of the vent.

Um what lighting? I say rose queen if you're not sporting a red or pink light.
