ID and sex please?

Looks like really nice red texas the color pattern is amazing I think it looks like a male. I have two that i am growing out I hope they come out as nice as yours,hows the temperament of yours mine is in with community tank and they are not that bad. I have them in a 420 gallon tank
 
Red Texas....a hybrid
 
he/she is in a community tank - it's constantly bickering with tank mates, but has never done any damage. I'm afraid that may change once it gets as big as some of the others though.
 
Something about it is a bit off.. It would appear to be a RT but the pic is a little blurry. I say male.
 
That's what I thought water. Found the guy at the LFS for cheap - he "kinda" looked like a red taxas to me, but the bodyshape is not what I'm use to seeing. But I'm hardly an expert on them. Thanks for the info guys.
 
body shape does look a big short. probably took on a bit of the parrot body. also looks male to me
 
To me it looks like a red texas male that's not faded
