ID and sex please!!!!

this fish ive had for about 7 months it grows really fast its about 12" ive looked around I think its a black belt chiclid how big does it get and what sex is it i think i have male and female cant get good pic of other one it always seems to move as i snap pic

thats a central american cichlid. i believe its a red head cichlid. go post it on the c/a cichlid forum

Don't hold me to this, as I don't have much experience with viejas, but it looks like a Vieja synspillum to me. Definitely a vieja of some kind.

Definitely in the Vieja/Paratheraps genera but I don't think it's a syns. Might have syns in it.
