Cryptarius truncatus, family Ariidae, This cat is reported from different sources from 16-20 inches as an adult! I could find very little other information on it, but it is definitely a beauty! Is it your's?

Thanks for the info, I bought it few days ago from a local lfs without any info. Understand its live in saltwater or blackish water, so as to say surviving rate in FW is rather low:(
If someone have experience in keeping this cat, please share............:)

Thanks, I personally like it very much. But I'm quit surprised to hear that this cat is commonly seen in our local sea:irked:

Cryptarius truncatus, is from the Ariidae family and is similar to Shark Cats, Arius Jordani or Arius Seemani in its requirements. But!!! i would rather keep it in a Brackish water setup or full salt water. you may have some succes in trying to acclimatise it to freshwater but hey good luck.

keep up the good stuff!!!
