I walked into my LFS and noticed this huge guy a 20 gallon tank. My tank is too small for this guy, so its only a temp home until I get my custom 300 gallon made (should be finished by next weekend)

Anyways, I dont know much about catfish, but from the looks of it he looks like a TSN

I've been feeding him some feeders, tubifex, and beef heart. I plan to make a trip to the lfs again to get some sinking catfish food...

I have him with my 6 inch Arowana.... and they seem to be fine...

No its not supposed to be like that. His nose that is, and it is a TSN. Probably got like that from being in such small of a tank. How big is he?

Yep definatley a TSN, and not sure about the mouth.. Could have happened from being in too small of a tank or smashing into the sides of the tank, breaking his mouth and healing wrong.. But if he's eating good he should be fine.

the gill will curl out slightly should be a good fish as long as eating glad you saved it

He is a big eater...... I have had him for less then 48 hours and he'd probably already ate close to 30 feeders......

He wont eat infront of me, but I'll toss them in there, and come back 10 min later and they will all be gone...

Any way to make him less shy?
