ID Cichlid / breeding

Hi ! I just picked up 3 cichlids at my LFS . They are very healthy and doing very well in my tank . They were sold to me as red devils .... But i dont think they are . Can u guys help me ID them . Btw i m planning to put them with my red devil male in my 550gallon . Do u think they can breed to my male ?

I see a rounded snout on one photo so I'd say citrinelum, but being that these fish are so hybridized and cross bred there's no telling if they are Labiatum or citrinelum, or a product of both. With these types of fish, it's almost guaranteed the are a hybrid cross of the two unless bought from a reputable source! In other words they are probably neither 100% one or the other and are "midevils). I couldn't tell sex from the photos and they may be too small to sex unless vented now anyway.

Ok i totally agree that they are not pure red devils . But are they able to spawn successfully ?

I don't see why not. As long as there's male and female they should actually, these fish aren't hard to breed at all. And assuming they aren't sterile which could always be a possibility, but I doubt they are.
