Here are two of my plecos. Are they both just common plecos? Or maybe is one female one male?

Both are common plecos. Common pleco is a term that encompasses many different species with a common look.

Number of rays in the dorsal fin says they are a Pterygoplichthys species, so that narrows it down a bit.

Have a look here and take your pick.

P. disjunctivus or P.pardalis are the most "Common" ones.

hard to tell from those pics, but i'd say you have one of each of Ianab's suggestion. you will have to look at their stomach, the only real easy way to tell the difference between p. disjunctivus and p. pardalis is the pattern on the underside. p. pardalis has spots and p. disjunctivus has a vermiculated pattern. either way, very nice plecos.

Okay so the first guy has the vermiculated patter on his belly and looks like the other guy has spots.

that would have been my guess just from looking at the pictures, but now you know what you have. :D

From just seeing the pictures my guess would have been P. disjunctivus for the first one and P.pardalis for the second one however side shots are not to be trusted very much(as noted) belly shots are better.
