Channa Gachua sp turquoise?


Apparantly you can only tell from a spot on the tail of the fry, which they have now

Some sort of gachua I would say at first look but the stripes on the left one (top pic) threw me a bit. I have no exp of sp.turquoise, are they sub trop or fully tropical? Nice looking channa all the same mate.
 
Looks a lot to me like my Gachua that was sold to me as "Krabi".

Pretty sure thats not turquoise.

You could be right there Tokyo, i have just dug out a pic of my Krabi and there appears to be feignt stripes.

Yeah mine look incredibly similar to that.
It would be interesting to see a good shot of a turquoise too for comparison

Interesting that they don't have much of a line on the top of the dorsal, but they do have the feint stripes on the body.
What is supposed to be the difference between the two species?
