Picked these guys up today and were sold to me as cichla intermedia. All 3 are around 8 or 9 inches long.

I got these at a local shop that got them in on trade. I think I got them for a song at $60 a piece. Somebody local had them along with some rare satanoperca and geophagus. I may have to go back for those after I clear some space.
That's a great deal! Personally I love how rare cichla have gotten so inexpensive on price. Other that are looking to only make a buck may disagree.
Anybody grow these guys out? Kinda wondering what these guys top out at in aquaria. I know these are listed as the smallest cichla species, but there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of info out there on adult size. I did find a couple videos of an adult pair in what looked to be pre-spawning behavior. Judging from the silver dollars being kept with them, I'd say the two fish were around a foot in length.
