Probably line bred or hybridized variations of Oreochromis mossambicus.
One of the 1st cichlids to spawn for me back in the early 60s, very hardy.
Even back then, they were being line bred for color to make them more visually palatable as a meal.
the wild type males back then were charcoal gray, black with pink fins, not quite as visually appealing on the plate, as the pink and gold versions that came later.
I haven't seen those in a long time, when I was working in the aquarium shop. These were always turned back in or hundreds of fry dropped off. They are a tough fish that I've seen in horrible conditions but were still breeding.
