saw these guys at LFS, nice shape/pattern, was told they eat live food, max out at 8inch. i thought good for minature monster collection. picked up a shoal of 8.
For 5 of them, closest thing I could find was a Barilius Barna. But the Anal fin on the Barilius looks nothing like this fishes. In the first photo, they are the 2 at the bottom.
They chase feeders but prefer floating fish sticks. But the other fish, it started eating feeders the moment it was released in the tank.
3 of these fish came in the same batch, one with bad case of scrunched spine. thy had similar shape , fins, and pattern but the head was much larger and has a "W" shaped mouth from frontal view. This fish looks like it would get larger than the other.
Anyone know what these are?
