ID for my new pick up

Cool,thanks that's what i thought, they had them in a tank with a label that said flowerhorns and asst. peacock cichlids. The flowerhorns were marked at $12.40 an when I asked about getting this guy she told me it wasn't a flowerhorn and that it must be some green terrors in the wrong tank. Sounded good to me, I got em for $5.

yup its a pretty nice little flowerhorn too, they are indeed an underrated fish. mostly because they are not a "pure species" but of all the cichlids I've kept over the years, FH's have to be one of my all time favourites. heres an old pic of mine, Not sure what kind it is.
He looked just like a regular FH at 2" i guess maybe he had some fader genes
