anyways...great that u know spotted gars are different. however what do u know about both species?

No they are not the same. While florida spotted gar is a popular name for the florida gar, Lep. platyrhincus, it makes it very confusing to the people who know that there is in fact a true spotted gar, Lep. oculatus
