ID Geophagus

I never got it really confirmed what species this is and could you please tell me the sexes of the fish. My guesses are the first one is female and second one male, judging by the fins and the second one sometimes "showing off" to the other one. Both are around 5-6", the second one slightly bigger.

I would say you have two Geophagus abalios and a female nic.

EDIT: I say a female nic because of the lateral line that runs along the flanks, males have more of a spot at this size. Thought I would add why I think so.

Thanks, but what about the sexes?

I am guessing but I'd say #2 is male. The only way to be sure what you have is to vent or observe breeding behavior.
