Thanks msjinkzd

Just read all about them, neat goby. I need to possibly add something algae covered though, I'll add some rocks with some now, and I'll get some moss balls tomorrow. Any one else own these little guys?

I do. Repashy soilent green is a good "prepared" food to offer. They take to it quite well, though natural algae, for this species, is preferred.

Thanks for the tip! Added some algae covered rocks from my other tank and my fancy guppies (I have 8 in there) started grazing happily... I need more rocks haha. By the way, this little guy and the guppies are in a 25 With an ac110 on the back

I keep an old trashy looking tank outside in the back yard spring thru fall, where I put rocks, just for growing algae. I keep one in a window during winter. As the fish graze 1 rock clean in their tank, it is replaced with another from the outside tank. I keep it filled water water change water to provide nutrients for the algae. Great free food.

I hope he remains fat! I've been watching the little guy quite closely, making sure he feeds off the rocks with algea(which he does) but I'm afraid it may not be enough, especially with four in there. I want to do what he suggested above, but what will be the initial seed for the algea? Should I just use tank water+sunlight and that will be good enough for algea growth?
