I recently picked up this as a male blood parrot. Looking at it again I noticed that compared to my female he doesn't have quite the notch in his head. And he had a functioning mouth and can move the lower jaw. Because of this I'm tempted to believe he isn't a blood parrot.

Is he a low-mid grade kkp?

Except the really red one. That was because for some reason that light makes them look very deep red.

Youre right, doesnt look like a regular parrot by any stretch of the imagination. Plus that intense red coloration is awesome!

I used to have a pair of kongs and when they were breeding (infertile of course) they would become a bright pink color. and back to a nice orangey pink when they are done. maybe the color change is breeding
 
Okay how much would you say this guy is worth. I got him for a good price I think. But I want to know what his real value is.

Where did you get him from? I just realized we live in the same city!
 
Okay. Here where I am that's how much blood parrots go for at that size. So would you say then he's worth like $50-70. Or still only $40-60

Is 10 dollar in "value" going to change your opinion on the fish? I mean thats the difference between an interested buyer and a not so interested buyer. So many variables on what you will get for a fish is 10 bucks going to make a difference?
 
I like the fish regardless. I just want to know what I can get for him as I will be selling him to get another fish I can breed with my female
