ID help and New frontosa!!

i just got a new front today for $1.26 after tax!! it's about .5-.75 inch or at least i think its a front!! got it like 30 mins ago!!

and here are some fish i have no idea what they are at first i thought they were haps or the Sciaenochromis ahli fish but now i'm not sure... please help id i have two of them i think one is female and one is male cause the anal fins one both fish are different... they were traded to me as peacocks... i traded 2 cat fish for them

o and i still need help on learning how to id peacock cichlids what special features do they have compaired to haps or do i just have to know species??
 
it was the only one left!! in a bunch of assorted cichlids hiding in the corner all black!! do you have any idea what the other fish are oddball??
 
How long have you had these two peacocks. They look like they are still scared. By looking at the picture, I would say it is a Blue Regal Peacock. It does however look like it has some red in the sides. I would retake the pictures once they are use to the tank and come out and show their colors. You can go to Cichlid Forum and look at fish profiles. They will show you all of the fish in the hobby.
 
Yeah, those are probably regal peacocks but either they're sick/scared or of terribly bad genetics. Haplochromis species are peacocks for the most part btw.
 
Definately peacocks not haps. Not sure which varient but as suggested before go to cichlid-foum.com and there are a ton of profiles for peacocks you could also post it in the unidentified section there, they have some great help there.
 
I got a buddy who owns a fish store and i bought 7 fronts at 1" for $25 each and that was at cost! Fronts in memphis aint cheap!
