Id help please

nothing out of the ordinary regarding their care.. just provide lots of hiding places and bogwood, since bogwood makes up part of the fish's natural diet and is necessary for it to survive.
 
have a nice piece in there already.
It's hung out all day under it.
I have pellets, algea wafers, zuchhini and cucumber on hand. Forgot to buy the brine shrimp though ....

Any guesses on age / sex ?

I have a piece in right now. It never touched the pellet. maybe too big?

Lastnight it was attached to the bottom of my heater.
This am it was on the fron of the tank (there's algea growing)
and currently sitting on top of said wood.

So hopefully it's a little more comfortable in it's surrondings now
 
It's a Hypancistrus (contradens, inspector, L102, L201 etc) rather than a Baryancistrus (L142/LDA033).

I don't contest that having wood available is advisable for any pleco in an aquarium but it's not necessary for survival.
