ID Help pls

I am very unfamiliar with catfish. Ran into some real old friends over the weekend at a bar, then we all went to one of their houses after and one had a large tank. He has this little guy that he bought at a LFS but they labelled it as a Red Tailed Shovelnose. I told him that I didn't think such a thing existed but that I would try and get a proper ID for him. It is apparently still young. About 6". Sorry for pic quality, as it was shot from my phone.

Any ideas?

So essentially a hybrid of a RTC and TSN?

I am assuming these guys get huge just like a plain RTC or TSN?
 
Great, thanks guys. I will let him know. I will also suggest he upgrade his tank within the next year. It's big, but not that big. Probably around the 125 range. Either a bigger tank or find him a new home with someone that does have a bigger one.

Good plan. They definitely grow like weeds but are a joy if maintained properly. :D Remind me of dogs. lol
