I've fallen in love with this fish and want to be sure I'm prepared for how big she'll get when I bring her home. Sadly, I cannot seem to find a good match for her appearance.

Here she is:

It's difficult to see in the pictures, but the edges of the dorsal fin are a dark red. I'm guessing she's female because of the small number of spots, but I'm not sure about that.

The fish is about 6 inches long.

Any help in identifying her would be appreciated.

kinda looks like an anthurus. im not entirely convinced but thats the closest i can think off. always a chance its not a described species.

will most like get to around the 9-10" mark id say

I second the anthurus guess, although its hard to tell. Definitely female though, you can tell by the white stripe laterally through the dorsal fin. Very nice pike! She'd color up nice once you get her acclimated into a home tank ;).

i think 55 is alittle small but it would work, i think a 75 gallon is much better tho

She will be pretty much alone in the tank, probably with a pleco of some kind. I'm leaning towards one of the rubber plecos since they stay decently small. Planning on lots of bogwood and some sheets of slate. I will likely add a few low light plants to help keep up the water quality.
