Anyone know what this guy is? Bought as a pair but he killed the female. Female was colored the same but much smaller. Did get 1 spawning out of. Juvi pic is what they look like, not very colorful but they do have red eyes which help narrow it down. Bought from LFS as Flowerhorn but he doesn't have the canial hump that a FH his size should have. Been told it could be Timac or Barred Midas. Sorry to ramble on but I've been wanting to replace the female and noone at my LFS can tell me anything.
I'd like to see a couple other pics of the adult male but pretty sure it's a FH. oh and not all FH's grow big nuchal humps..some do and some don't. a lot of it is genetics and the tank setup and inhabitants can affect that as well so size of the nuchal/cranial hump is definitely no way to tell for sure if it's a Fh or not.
