So my cousin sent me some pics of his fish from asia and when I saw these pics it looks like a marulius to me than a marulioides. Can anyone help us properly ID this SH?

Hi,
That spot on the Gill plate makes me think its Punctata

The first one iam also leaning to channa Punctata.....
the second iam thinking also along the lines of Channa Marulioides

They both are stunning....can you get any length way's photo's?

Its a lucius 100%, i got one just like it myself,the other one i cant tell,the fins look a little bit like striatas i have seen,but not sure on that one.
