I’m not sure of the price. Haven’t really noticed them for sale at that small juvenile size. Seen larger ones go for $40-50.

Makes sense, anything special to know about these guys? I know temps, feeding, etc. Just anything out of the ordinary at that size and are they communal? I was told it was a Florida gar pike at the store so that’s all I know lol

Typical care as for most fish. Keep with similar sized fish as it grows. Need large tankmates so it won’t be eaten.

fair enough. Tank mates would potentially a few red tail barracudas and one payara or one or the other since I know payaras are rather large fish. Thanks!

Depends on the payara. The red tail cudas will get eaten likely.

Which payara subspecies would you recommend? Damn I really wanted those red tails. Any other suggestions?
