Can Aulonocara hybrids get this big? It’s about 6.5-7” which seams big for a peacock.

Depends a lot on the other fish. I have seen some Aulonocara x Sciaenochromis that were around 9 inch. But I don't know for sure if the parents were pure or already Aulonocara hybrids.

The expected size for jacobfreibergi peacocks is 7". Not to say that is a jake.

Definitely a hybrid! Neat fish though!
