Wife wants to get some of this in here new 29gal that I gave her after she bought me a 125, but I am not sure the name of them......any help

kribensis cichlid. small growing cichlid would be fine in a 29 gal.

Definately of the pelvicachromis family, but not sold that it is a kribensis female. Looks more like something in the taeniatus group. Do you have a male also? If so, pics of him may help narrow it down. Cost is the other factor. Kribs are usually cheap, whereas taeniatus tend to be sold in pairs only and average $30-$40 (at least in MD).

I had a kribensis once and it was a really nice looking fish, but MEAN as hell.

It's a kribensis, males can hit around 4-5".
