Hi -
I posted this photo in the hybrid section but then thought maybe it was better suited here (I apologize to the moderators - not trying to spam, just new to navigating the forums)

My husband picked up this little guy as a pearly white african hybrid... Now home in a much cleaner larger aquarium he is turning peachy orange with blue tips on his fins.. the blue is washed out by the flash of my camera but its as if someone just colored the edge of his fins in navy..

I have no idea what he is with peachy orange/blue.. and subtle stripes on his body.. i say he, but who knows on the gender.lol

any help would be very much appreciated as I am new and completely in the dark on this one

Definitely not tropheops; wrong head shape. It has a Pseudotropheus/Metriaclima shaped head. Do you have a better picture of it??
