Mine came from Imperial tropics. I had a second purchases from an lfs but it jumped out when I moved it into the 260g with the other. Easily one of my top favorite fish in my collection. Currently Chocohaulic resides with a trio of adult and 6 grow out G. Brasiliensis, several sev's and guppies.

I purchased Bobo two years ago at Beltway Aquarium in Waldorf, MD. They specialize in SA, CA, AF, and oddball fish. He was in a tank with maybe 15 other chocolate babies.

Here Bobo is when I got him. He looked a lot like a baby long fin oscar:

absolutely amazing fish! I've fallen down the rabbit hole with these fish. They're such beautiful creatures. I've been tempted but I'm just not sure how one would mix with my synspilum. I'm thinking of starting a chocolate, uaru and geo grow out tank in my 240. These are on top of the list

Bobo is one bad mama Jamma. The color change and all around oddness is what I love most about these amazing fish. So you know of the store you purchased from has a website? I'm curious if these vary in appearance by catch location

Here you go:

They're also on Facebook. Be warned, its best to deal with the wife. The owner is a major ###. But they have great fish, which is why they've stayed in buisness so long.

Of my current fish I got my oscar, parrots, featherfins and chocolate from there.

They look to have some really cool stuff on their page that you definitely don't see around here in Alabama. I don't believe they ship though. Seen a frogfish I believe it was on their first page. Crazy ugly-cool fish! Lots of oddball
