ID lizard please

Can someone ID this lizard for me. I think it's a yellow monitor. I'm not sure.

I'm leaning towards mangrove monitor as well. Regardless of what it is, it's pretty cool!

@snakeguy101, i'm not working at a zoo....yet! i would love to one day but this was sent to me by a friend that works at an animal shelter somewhere here in SoCal. This poor guy was wandering the streets in the rain and was picked up.
