So i have had this little guy about a month now and he is doing great! He is housed in my 29 gallon tank to grow out a bit before he goes in my 110, or 240. Anyways i got him at my lfs and the people i had talked too didnt really have to much information on him (the guy i usally talk too that is very knowledgeable was not working that day). i knew i wanted a flowerhorn, just due to the looks and the beauitful colors they can develop, despite their nasty personality and having to usually be housed alone...i still wanted one. When i saw the tank with these little guys i had them net one and i took him and shined him upside down to sex him and make sure i got a male. After all that he is now at my house and doing good but i am not really sure what he is..he seems to look like a red dragon, but not too positive. he is 2.5" now, i will probably have to wait a few months. Also as for feeding he is fed 2 times a day on flake, any other good foods to try??

thanks

looks to be kamfa to me like the ones that were being sold at petsmart. you never know what u have til they start to color up on the low grade side give it some time u might be surprised

feed it sinking nls cichlasoma or cichlid formula. 3mm pellets might be too big as of right now, but maybe not. when you put food in, don't just dump a bunch in, put little pinches until he consumes it. He may not even take at first. Bump feeding up to 3 times in decent portions and keep the water clean if you want some speedier results.

fader zz.. the ones with white /neon pink ,big head, and short face
