Also, sex the bigger one....I think the larger is a ZZ but im not sure....Also, what do you think they are worth. The smaller female is about 3.5 inches, maybe 4 TL, the larger is about 6 to 6.5 TL, this is the very longest it might be. These are also Cell phone pics, so colors of the fish do not show well. The larger has lots of pearling, the smaller one is always in breeding dress and they are going through the motions of breeding, so hard to see her colors well.

So seriously, are these THE WORST pictures you've ever seen.......hahaha. sorry. I'll get some with a digi camera and another photographer

As blurry as these pictures are, you would swear Muhammad Ali took them......

Thanks for the replies....I figured they were some sort of ZZ, just never confirmed it. I'll try to get better pictures as they mature....

Happy to hear they are of a decent quality, I mean, I know they are not show winners, but the male is nice and the female looks like she has alot of traits that could be beneficial when breeding. So they are about mid grade flowerhorn then I assume....Happy to hear that.

What would you think they are worth if you had to take a guess. Or what do you think they will be worth when mature.

for the pair i would pay about 50bucks.

also have you actually sexed the big one? reason i ask is that it appears to have blotches on the dorsal fin, and this is a common trait of females.

keep us updated on these, and i would love to see some clearer pics too.

yeah, I know, I've noticed the blotches.....IT and the female have been going through the breeding rituals definitely.....They both seem to be playing their role right now. Best I can figure by looking is that the small blotches on the bigger one are extentions of flowers on top do to some double flowers. I don't know though, I thought it was a female this whole time until the newer smaller female and itself has started to look like they are going to breed....Guess we'll see, if eggs drop from the smaller and they don't get fertalized, probably female.
