ID my geo's and some tips please?

I bought some geo's on impulse to try and get my datnoids to come out more and to just give the tank some different colors. They were sold to me as geophagus sao paulo? (or pau or paul) but wanted to get a positive ID from you guys.

So this being an impulse buy, I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT GEOS! What do they eat? They guy at the LFS said cichlid pellets and flakes? Thanks!

yeh they sift through sand eating anything really, they like pellets, and some live or frozen foods are always good for them too, excluding blood worms.

try feeding sinking shrimp pellets and fresh shrimp cut into pieces , flakes are to messy and the majority will just "feed" your filter .

they look like they could be sao paulos . better pics when they get settled into tank and colorup some would help . good luck with these guys . you'll love watching them sift and eat. i love my geo tank

why not bloodworms? this could be a problem since one of my datnoids only eats bw.
