[Zion and Cichlids is all]

Not sure what the hell he is but he fights everything in my tank but my female bp. I believe it's a synspilum X bp. What do you guys think?

Looks more like flowerhorn X bp to me, too much flowerline to be syn X bp...it's even got a suggestion of a double line.

Have you sexed it or do you know its sex? I ask because i used to have a female flowerhorn that looked just like it. Mean as a pistol with just about every fish even a big male flowerhorn and originally from the person i got her from a giant midas. Took to my old now passed true texas cichlid and spawned just fine. Sadly did not keep any fry from them.

He spawned with my female bp three times but nothing happened. He has been on a vacation for a good three months at another location where I kept him. Once he was back with her....he just lost his mind all over again.

In my opinion it looks like a red dragon X bp, technically I think that makes it a kamfa. Although perhaps not the highest quality kamfa because of the lack of pearling, it does seem to have nice wrap & color.

I got him from a Asian guy here in Baltimore. He is a private breeder and he wanted this fish back really bad. He claims he have given me the wrong order and this fish wasn't for sale. He offered me some money for him. So he must be something special. His red coloration is growing more along his body each month.
